The Archaeological Museum of Colfiorito was inaugurated in 2011 and contains a considerable series of finds relating to the civilization of the Plestini, an Umbrian population who settled in pre-Roman times on the Colfiorito plains. The museum tells the story of these people from its origins to the Romanization, through exposition of materials from sanctuaries, burials, settlements and cities. The exhibition itinerary takes place on the three levels of the structure, dealing with all the main themes inherent to the ancient history of the area: material culture, forms of occupation of the territory, religion and cults, geomorphology, the history of research, archaeological sites and so on.
Il Museo Archeologico di Colfiorito è stato inaugurato nel 2011 e racchiude una considerevole serie di reperti relativi alla civiltà dei Plestini, popolo umbro insediatosi in età preromana sui piani di Colfiorito. Il museo racconta la storia di questo popolo dalle origini alla romanizzazione, attraverso materiali provenienti da santuari, sepolture, insediamenti e città. Il percorso espositivo si svolge sui tre livelli della struttura, trattando tutti i principali temi inerenti alla storia antica della zona: la cultura materiale, le forme di occupazione del territorio, la religione e i culti, la geomorfologia, la storia della ricerca, i siti archeologici e molto altro.
