Pale cliff – Divina Foligno Skip to main content
The limestone relief of Monte di Pale, which rises to 958 meters in altitude on the right side of the Menotre river valley, is characterized by very steep western and southern flanks, intercepted by deep and narrow valleys. Due to its geomorphological characteristics and slope exposure, the mountain constitutes an important phytoclimatic microcosm, characterized by the presence of interesting formations of Mediterranean vegetation that grow on the debris below the rocky cliffs. The walls are also frequented by species of birds of conservational interest such as the peregrine falcon, which uses cavities and ravines as nesting sites.
