The small Church of Sant’Antonio is located immediately after the town of Montepennino, along the old road to Montefalco.
The structure dates back to the end of the fifteenth century; it was built in a place which was occupied at least since the Roman age. It looks like a votive building with a simple architecture, with a portal framed by two small windows. Inside, it preserves a series of frescoes datable between the 15th and 17th centuries: among them, the Madonna and Child crowned by the Angels attributed to Francesco Melanzio from Montefalco, and a Sant'Antonio da Padova attributed to Ascensidonio Spacca from Bevagna.
From the church we can enjoy a beautiful view of the northern part of Montefalco: the town, with its bell towers and towers, stands among the olive trees on a fantastic panoramic hilly plateau over the Umbrian Valley.
