The "Chestnut groves of Morro" is a Special Conservation Area located in the upper Menotre river Valley, near the town of Morro, in an area enclosed by deep valleys and crossed by gullies flowing into the Fosso Malbarraia. The area is characterized by the presence of chestnut forests, with numerous centuries-old specimens, growing over a small and steep valley facing north-east. In the Foligno area, chestnut trees are extremely rare and therefore this area has a particular naturalistic, historical and landscape value.
