Piazza Piermarini – Divina Foligno Skip to main content
Piazza Piermarini is located adjacent to the Corso and connected to it by a short street. It is a symbolic place for the city of Foligno because it was the location of the Apollo-Piermarini Theatre, dedicated to the distinguished architect and destroyed in the bombings of the last war. In the square, Ivan Theimer's sculpture stands out as a dutiful homage to Giuseppe Piermarini, one of the city's most illustrious sons: the obelisk with Ercole symbolically supports time and history.
