The aedicule called "Maestà del Verziere" is located a short distance from Montefalco, and can be found traveling along the old road to the town. It has suffered serious damage in recent times, such as to require a major restoration.
The niche preserves a fresco perhaps dating back to the sixteenth century, rediscovered in 1956 under a more recent painting; the fresco represents a Madonna and Child between two saints.
