The former Lower Mill, which is so named to distinguish it from the still existing Upper Mill, is located at the end of the Portico delle Conce, which extends from Via Santa Margherita to Via San Giovanni dell’Acqua. After it was restored, the building located in Via San Giovanni dell’Acqua, was given on loan and for free to the catholic charity association “Caritas”. The former mill is an important architectural site, and it is part of the "Via fluviale degli Opifici", or “Fluvial itinerary of the workshops”.
