The Italian Center of Contemporary Art is the natural apex of the city's growing attention for contemporary art. Built in the historic center from the ruins of a building which was once the city milk plant and later a post office, the museum intends to be the container for any cultural and informational energy driven by creativity. The architecture of the Center was conceived by Getulio Alviani in collaboration with the architect Zamatti and was subsequently designed by the architect Partenzi. The building consists of a parallelepiped lined in cor-ten steel which gives the exterior its unique rust color. The architectural design is characterized by simplicity and rigor. Light and space are the protagonists. The building has no windows, and its three floors are illuminated by a central skylight supported by pillars defining the architecture of the interior. The exhibition rooms are arranged on two floors. http://www.museifoligno.it/i-musei/ciac-centro-italiano- contemporary-art Opening Thursday to Sunday 10.30-13.00 and 15.30-19.00 Prices Single Ticket (Church of the Annunziata + CIAC) Full price € 8,00 Reduced A € 5,00 (TouringClub members, FAI members, groups over 15) Reduced B € 3,00 (children from 7 to 18 years old) FREE (under 6 years old, tour guides, journalists, people with disabilities and their accompanying person) Information and reservations tel 366.6635287 e-mail: info@ciacfoligno.it
